Sherwood Grange is one of Sunbury's newest developments, a 300 lot community surrounded by beautiful waterways and parklands. Developed by Villawood Properties, and delivered by primary contractor Winslow, Sherwood offers a unique opportunity for families seeking to build their dream home with stunning views. The undulating nature of the site called for the inclusion of a retaining walls into the design, to preserve views for prospective home owners and maintain elevation changes between the lots.
Rawco was chosen as the the contractor of choice to supply and install all the concrete sleeper retaining walls throughout stages 4 to 7 of the estate. Working closely in conjunction to the primary contractor, Winslow, our site teams successfully completed the installation of over 1,700 l/m sleeper retaining walls aligned to the lot boundaries of each property. We are proud to have been an important part in building this beautiful community.
Working through a period of extremely high rainfall posed a challenge for Rawco's installation crew, which was overcome through some thoughtful site planning and preparation. The project also called for a number of graded and curved retaining walls, which was a welcomed challenge for the team, resulting in a perfectly graded finish surface aligned to each property boundary.
